Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) is one of the premier engineering
colleges of the
region aiming
towards high standards of
education with holistic approach. The college is fully equipped and capable enough to train budding
engineers in modern trends
& aspects of engineering with clear-cut goals and objectives in the field of technical education. The
Institute started in the
year 2006 is a unit of A.Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru. The college is located at the Srinivas Campus
spread over 15 acres of
land at Valachil, Arkula Village, about 10kms from Mangaluru city, towards BC Road, adjacent to NH66. The
institute hosts 3000
plus students studying under 9 U G programmes, 5 P G programmes and 6 Research Centres. The efforts are
directed to accommodate
and address the expectations of each student by way of enabling them to participate in the seminars,
workshops organized
within and outside of the institute. The institute is also engaged in supporting the students to refine the
necessary skills,
attitude and the aptitude towards the corporate placement process in the campus by way of periodical
competitive tests and
group interaction exercises.
SIT is accredited by NAAC in 2019. The institute's faculty is well oriented
towards both
research and academics. SIT regularly organizes international conferences, national level workshops, faculty
development
programs and symposia with eminent international and national experts from industry and academia as resource
